Who am I?
I'm Hanachan, an aspiring manga-style comic artist. I'm currently working on a few comics, but nothing is finished yet.

What will you be posting here?
My main original comic will be print only, but I will post the first chapter of each volume before the print release date (it's being sold online and at Artist's Alley by the way- more of a hobby thing that an actual job at the moment). I'll also post webcomics about my life and the characters in my comic, and probably some of my doujinshi.

What kinds of stories do you write?
I usually write in either the boy's love/yaoi genre or josei genre. If you don't know, BL/Yaoi is male homoerotic manga aimed at females, and josei is manga aimed at women (as apposed to shojo, which is aimed at girls). My current original comc series, Verdé, is a boy's love story about two teenage boys in Japan who fall in love, but social pressure and disapproving parents cause waves in their relationship. I'm also working on some original josei oneshots and doujinshi.

What kind of doujinshi of you write?
I write both het and yaoi, but probably more yaoi ;P I mostly write for my favorite pairings and fandoms, which I'll post later, along with any doujinshi I'm working on for any of them.

What are your inspirations?
The reason I'm into anime and manga in the first place is Naoko Takeuchi's Sailor Moon. I started to draw, but all of my art and comics were bad Sailor Moon ripoffs, and I didn't know really how to create comics. The artist who really got me into learning how to draw comics the proper way was Wataru Yoshizumi, with her manga Marmalade Boy. It showed me that manga didn't need characters with special powers to be entertaining and engaging. Currently, major inspirations are music, especially Utada Hikaru, and my friends. I'm also inspired by the artists Erica Sakurazawa, CLAMP, and Ai Yazawa, although Yoshizumi still serves to be an inspiration.
