Once upon a time(Approximately 1992-93)I attended the Kubert School with the intention of becoming a cartoon animator. Upon completing my first year I decided on questionable advice to see whether or not the grass was greener in Canada. Things did not pan out.
Shortly thereafter I took up a nomadic existence in a red state somewhere in the American Heartland. Lived in C-Town for about 10 years, worked for a now defunct grocery chain, and even spent 4 decent years working in advertising as a production assistant. Then I found myself laid off.
Along the way I met my beautiful wife(has a degree in Fashion Design) and introduced her wondering mind to all things cartoon and comic book related. We had a child and soon inculcated him with the desire to run around in tights, cape, and cowl battling evil in all it's nefarious glory.
At fifteen I was already deeply immersed in the lore of Elfquest and Warp Graphics, and soon meandered over to Marvel and DC. While at Kubert's I was introduced to Independent comics by my roommates and have since wandered all over comicdom filling my head with all sorts of insanity.
I am currently in comic rehab unable to afford my weekly fix. I haven't done more than flip through the selection on the local spinner rack in four years and have no idea, what is happening out there.
I have spent the last 15 years of my life working on my own independent comic( the manuscript of 12 issues, is at this time about one hundred pages; double that for the art I intend to work into it).I have done a fair amount of freelance work. Mainly, caricature work for hire as well as promotional work for local bands including an album cover or two.

Welcome, Ed!
Glad to have you around here for easy brain access.
I hope things can settle for you long enough to do essential things like sitting, eating, sleeping and breathing.
You're good people, and I'm happy to call you friend both here and in the so-called "real world".
Don't forget yer 'kubie' tag - the demon horde grows like so much boot fungus.

-Ron
