Thanks for the add and congrats on the diet! Any loss is far better than I could do. I am the only man in the world to ever get fat from chemo. :) As for whether the Raven pic was gratuitous or not... well, she is half demon so maybe the artist was merely showing that such a random 'camera' angle had to have infernal roots to exist. Maybe she was standing near a vent or something... Oh hell, it was prolly gratuitous... point of order though... I didn't notice that bit of cheesecake until you pointed it out to me. :) All hail Trigon and floor vents.

Hi there! We’re starting up this year’s Small Press Idol…and wanted to invite you to the grand unveiling of this year’s Guidelines. I apologize for the all-in-one nature of this. At this time, individuals and teams have a little over a month to get things together and be ready to post their Round 1 entries. Round 1 will last till March 25th. It’s a solid window to get a project together and qualified for Round 2 past our judge panel. If you are interested in being a contestant, this is fair warning to get a project going!
If you are a news outlet or resource of any sort, we invite you to help spread the word about Small Press Idol, and get on the official Sponsors and Supporters list on the Idol Main Page. Traditionally, the page has gotten hundreds of thousands of hits a month for the 5 months the contest runs. All we ask in return for the link placement on our prominently placed list, is a link back in some way that is fairly prominent, and that you indeed cover the contest if you are a news site. You can contact us about that right from the guidelines page.
Just want to watch the show? That’s great! Now is time to sign up at the site so you can VOTE in the rounds to come, and post comments about your favorites! We’re expecting hundreds of contestants this year. It should be a lot of fun!

I'm replying here - though I like the new reply format it doesn't inform the person of origin that a reply has been made. Thus, here I am... which I think is best and allows people to leave their litttle nest and visit other "spaces". Sorry... I tend to be wordy.

YES! Thanks so much for supporting Bomb Queen. You know it's funny, I hear so often that folks have a hard time finding it, or that only they are being served and very little shelf copies are available for casual passers by. Still, even with that data the book continues to sell. In fact, I'm quite flummoxed to it all. Just who is ordering this book? Haha!

Anyway, thanks again for the support, I appreciate it to no end. It's quite a silly book, at heart. Never to be taken seriously, and done in such bleak, dark, black satire that it very well may be confused with "serious". Which - as I read your profile - seems at odds with your general opinion (glass half full). My current work is (I even admit) rather a sad commentary on all that's wrong with the "type" of comic it parodies.... if any of that makes sense.

But my job is to do something different and if that's working I'm more than happy. Kudos to you and your blog, and I'll check out Kungfu now that you mention it. My editor has advocated for more of a "push" in spreading the love, I'll add www.kungfurodeo.com to my growing list.

Now, run out and howl at the moon like a good earthling. It's all the rage nowadays.
