| Header: | Artist Needed for High-Profile Manga Anthology due out this Summer | ||
| Bulletin: | 'With Honor', published by CAG (the Comicbook Artists' Guild), is an ambitious anthology project edited by writer/ artist Shawnti Therrien of Free Lunch Comics. Artistically, The stories in 'With Honor' will run the full gamut of past & present manga styles. The story I have written & created, 'Snow Leopard', requires a style somewhere between, say, Kojima's work on Kazure Okami & Samurai Assassin & powerful recent fare such as Battle Angel Aelita. There will be room for flexibility within these general parameters. The art will be accepted on a pro bono basis up front, but any available back end sales percentage will awarded the artist for their half of the story. In addition, I will donate my own back end profits to help pay the artist, as I will retain all copyright to the story & characters. The artist will own their actual artwork of course & are free to reprint portions with written permission from myself. This will be a wonderful addition to any artists' portfolio, and will be promoted vigorously by Shawnti, myself, and CAG. The book will be printed digest sized, right to left, in true manga fashion, and so should provide an exciting creative challenge for artists with little or no manga experience. I will assist with & collaborate on thumbnails & layout so that the artist is comfortable with the required format & story flow.
