Header: COMIC PROJECT
Bulletin: Hi.
I'm currently trying to put together an anthology comic but to not waste your time let me say right now THERE IS NO MONEY UP FRONT. Not interested -you can leave the studio.

I've been putting together packages of dummy comics for submission to publishers since the 1980s. I've worked for Marvel UK,Eros Comix,MU Press,Fleetway [UK],London Editions and European companies.

The deal on projects is simple. No one gets money [not even me because there is no money!]until a project sells -IF it sells. I treat everything as creator owned:you created drew and wrote it then it's yours. I DO NOT work with publishers who want copyright!!

A project is seen as a joint effort and I keep people up-dated on how things are going. Once sold the pay depends on the publisher's pay rates.

If it helps -I tend to spend more money than I get paid on pounding the pavement visiting publishers or sending off copies and following those up.

The kicker here is that I can only use top quality creators because, even if I feel an artist deserves a break,if I submitted a strip drawn to a standard that I know a publisher will reject out-right it means that they are unlikely to look at anything else I submit so other creators [and myself] suffer.

Send me your ComicSpace link initially and I'll check it out. If it looks okay then I'll get back to you asap.

At the moment I want to put together three dummy/samplers anthologies of strips running from 4-10 pages [colour and black and white].

The anthology genres are [please note and let me know which you are interested in]:

Terror -spooky tales,ghosts,etc.

Valour -super heroes,crime-fighters

Take A Slice -a slice-of-life comic so if you are a Strangers In
Paradise or Love and Rockets fan this is it.

Something you MUST be aware of. The titles are meant for a general readership of 11 years to adult. So,"mild" language in Take A Slice but NO OBSCENITIES or full frontal nudity.

If you are interested and want to submit a strip, old or new that you can develop IF the title takes off then get in touch but I will need hard copy -photocopies no CDs,pdfs, etc.,for editorial use. I'll forward my postal address for that.

Well, there you go. Offer made. Anyone interested?

Hear from you.
Terry
