I was born in Brazil.
At the age of 5 I already knew I wanted to draw comics.
At 11 I had my first comic strip published in Local newspapers-Frederico, the Detective.
Big fan ofJoe Kubert, dreamed of attending his school so I went to a british english school at night while serving the Brazilian Army. Paid that with drawings.Saved some money,came to America in 1985.
Attended Joe's school in 86 for one year. Went back there in 1990. Worked for Caliber Press under editor Gary Reed(penciled, inked and lettered the HP Lovecraft's Dagon), with writer Steven Philip Jones, while still in Joe's school.
Got a job at Marvel during my second year, where I drew Daredevil, Conan, Thor, Captain America, Disney's Quasimodo,Spider-man, the Avengers and others. Went to work for DC and drew Batman, Superman, New Gods, Young Heroes in Love, Superboy, Steel, Guy Gardner, Hawkman, Man called X, The Flash, Deathstroke,Wonderwoman, Green Arrow, Azrael and others. I taught 7 consecutive years at the Joe Kubert School during 1997 and 2003 . Member of the National Cartoonists Society since 1995.
Did some work with Chuck Dixon and Beau Smith in the Wildcat mini-series.Dark Horse(Beau's and mine Badlander), Image(Spawn),Sojourn, Lady Death, Scion, Crux, and other Crossgen titles,Iron Ghost with Chuck and ATP )John Taddeo and many others. Currently working on the Lone Ranger with writer Brett Matthews for Nick Barrucci(Dynamic Forces/Dynamite Entertainment) and Son of Samson with writer Gary Martin(The Moth)for Zondervan and in other side gigs here and there.
