Excalibur Comics

Ian worked briefly with a small press group in the States called Excalibur Comics. He was drawn to them by their shared views on traditional comics - not a super-hero in sight.

DC Characters

When it came to super-hero comics Ian was more the DC man than the Marvel man. Batman, Aquaman, Swampthing and Hawkman inspired his imagination.

Nocturne

Ian started designing this character around an idea I (Dave Weir) had. She is the re-animated body body of a fashion model who died in a terrible accident. Much of her part in the story was to explore a premise, a heresy: only God can give life.
