I think I'm already your friend, but our company is based in Scottsbluff Nebraska. If there's enough of us, we should get a Nebraska Comic-Con up and running. You know, so we don't have to cross state lines to advertise our books.

I agree. I would love to have a local comic con here. I just don't know where to start. Do you know?

Thanks,
Matt

Well, we would probably need a lot of us on board. And that would include financial contributions. Of course, the more we got, the cheaper it would be, so that's something to consider.

I think all we'd require is just renting out a venue. Trying to find one that provides their own tables would be ideal. Then, we'd have to just advertise it and I think that's it. I think it probably gets more complicated, when you enter into the whole accounting thing. But, if there were enough people on board, I don't think it would be too difficult.

Of course, the worst part of the entire ordeal would be deciding WHERE in Nebraska to have it. Lincoln and Omaha are certainly more populated, but here in Scottsbluff, we're only three hours from Denver, which has Mile High Comics, which if we could get on board, would be killer. Picking somewhere in the center of the state kind of would seperate us from Denver and Kansas City, which I don't think we want to do. I don't know. It would take some planning and thought.

I would certainly be up to the idea of talking about it. PM me if anyone's interested in getting this started.

Hey, thanks for the add. So, you left the lucrative world of video games for the lucrative world of comics? Well, I suppose they're close. Both fields employ underappreciated creators :D

Woohoo! Because everything is better with monkeys!

Thanks for the add.

Everything is indeed better with monkeys. Indie comics are like, 44.8 times better with monkeys!

Dude, you know how I be. Representing for the three-seven (Nebraska was the 37th state...the more you know)

I'm happy to see that my co-hort and I aren't the only ones trying to do the comic thing in the middle of nowhere. Of course. You're from Omaha. It's slightly less "middle of nowhere" than Scottsbluff. But, I think you get the picture.

Keep on rockin' in the free world!

Wow. It's amazing how similar the origins between our two companies are. It's nice to see we're not the only ones who were driven to self-publishing after getting fed up with rejection letters.

That's the idea. We're just going to slowly but insidiously take over. The cyberspace equivalent of Starbucks ... only perhaps a tad less evil.

Thanks for the add. I just went through your archives. There's some funny stuff.

I especially connected with the ones with the talking pile of garbage in the back seat of the car. Alas, my pile of garbage is my best friend.

And you have the best name of all time. Although, I'm sure you've heard about it your entire life.
