| Bulletin: | FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE (February 21, 2007) Illusive Arts Entertainment announces the release of Dorothy #7. Finally. "There's an old saying in Hollywood," claims Dorothy writer Mark Masterson. "You can have it Fast. You can have it Cheap. You can have it Good. Pick any Two." The seventh issue of Dorothy, a fumetti adaptation of The Wizard of Oz, took over 6 months to complete. It will be available in stores on February 28, 2007. With that, Illusive Arts acknowledges that Dorothy has slipped to a “Planetary” schedule, referring to the oft-delayed Warren Ellis/John Cassaday comic. "That's obviously not a goal," says Masterson, "but it's important to realize one's limitations. And it's not bad company. Not that we'll ever do it again, Officer." Dorothy is a "mega-modern photo-comic," created with images of live actors, practical models, and computer-generated effects. Issue 7 contains the debut of "The Beast," Illusive's version of the classic Cowardly Lion character. "The trouble with doing something so complex, basically a comic and a movie and a digital 3-D adventure all on the same page, y'know, something that's never been done on this scale," said Masterson, "Is that you get to be the first to make all the mistakes. And to discover all the nightmares. Each Issue presents unique opportunities for disaster." Illusive Arts' Psychologist Mark Masterson said that typically one person in the company has a mental breakdown while creating any given issue, but Dorothy's 7th Chapter apparently gave everyone involved their own "Over the Cuckoo's Nest" moment. "Look," he said, "There's no excuse for a late book - even though we have plenty. But if you wanted excuses, you’d be reading our company and individual LiveJournals." Issue 8 of Dorothy had been scheduled for release in March 2007, but Illusive cancelled those plans as #7 fell behind in production. “We will resolicit #8 soon,” said the Head of the Distributor Relations Department, Anna Warren Boersig. “Doctors are testing us all for sanity and once any of us is found to have any shred of it, we’ll pick up work on the next chapter in the saga. In the meantime, we're working on ways to bring Dorothy material to the public in other formats, smaller doses, and a timely manner.” Assistant head of the Development Department Mark Masterson adds, “We did try to distract the public by publishing Mark Teague's Tony Loco. But they were like pitbulls. Tony Loco has found it’s own following and is doing well, yet people still want to know what's happening with that girl from Kansas and the bizarre and heart-breaking folks she's met while walking the road of yellow bricks."
