Hey, cats'n'kittens--

Another update to the ol' TRANSLUCENT gallery. It's the line art for the cover--about the only preview the contest rules allow me to share.

That's right; I'm still in Small Press Idol. I've made it to Round 4! Turns out, after all the voting was finished, I came in 8th. It was a relief, actually. But then... the judges started their veto talk. Sadly, two titles got bumped, and that caused my skinny Irish butt to get promoted into 6th place. I feel sort of terrible about the fact that my good fortune is the direct result of other peoples' bad luck. The whole "zero sum" nature of it all is a downer. Still... I'm doing what little I can to balance the scales of karma.

Currently, I'm into high gear, trying to get everything done. The cover is all but final. I've done the colors, logo placement, and what have you. I'm in the "let it sit for 24 hours" stage, before I send it off to the publisher--10 full days before the deadline. How awesome is that?! It'll feel great to have that phase behind me.

Well... Back to the table!
