Small Press Idol '08 is up and running!

Hey, comic lovers!

The Super Bowl is over. The Giants earned their victory the old-fashioned way: They wanted it more, so they fought harder.

But it's behind us. And that can only mean one thing vitally important to all of us: That craziest of insane contests, Dimestore Productions' Small Press Idol, is once again alive and kicking!

I took third place last year, and every minute from the time I entered until the final votes were tallied was a total and complete blast! I wish I could do it again, but the fershluggina rules prohibit my involvement. Drat, drat, and double drat!

But the contest is much improved over last year. The site is stable and looking good, and the entry guidelines are much clearer. This year, in addition to a lot of great swag and free printing of your #0 issue is a CASH prize. I kid you not.

So you should enter. I guarantee you'll make great friends, get useful feedback, and have a good time doing something you love.
