Not bad Ace, family do, got a little tipsy, played some poker...

You have the same name as my pet dog, and it's also Tarkan's 'Halo' alias! Tarkan is the business brain of our group. He's pretty ace.

Take care buddy!

So, I'm named after the Dog huh! Well, could be worse. My Christmas wasn't to great, got railroaded into a dinner I didn't want to go to and ended yp getting sick because the cook isn't a very good cook.

Ace.

Hey, he's a great dog! (Really!)

The worst dinner I ever went to was probably the first day I met my gf's family. They are indian. Hot food. Slept on their sofa that night. Had to go to the loo in the morning. Everone heard me go. I'm going red as I type this!! Very embarassing. I'll get over it some day! This is like therapy for me!!

Thanks for the chat...

I'll take that as a compliment lol! By the way, Brazillian football is still the best. Yes, I admitted it!

BTW had a look on the website, and you all do wonderful work. Loved the look of the Bird and the Baker book, and the Vampire one (and thats saying something I'm not normaly much on vampire stories, but I really want to read that one based on what I saw!)

When I decided to take on a vampire book, I felt just like you do now! But the script is great. I met the writer David on the net, read it through and said-"I've gotta do this, it's great!!" You can check out his other stuff at BVC: brokenvoice.co.uk if you wanna. Shades is the book I really like on there. Thanks for checking us out btw!

Hello and thanks for the add!

:) I'm Doing fine, the library is quiet tonight.

We have many Springfields in the USA, but I believe my Springfield is the oldest of them. So we like to say we are the one the Simpsons live in. :)

I'm sure Bush has no idea what a Springfield is. :P

Unfortunately, I don't use instant messaging! Never really liked it, my gf used to keep me there for ages and ages, until I could think of a good enough excuse to leave lol! Sorry, but you can just leave a long message with anything you want to say. I make a real effort to reply to everyone(or there is ofcourse private messages, if you need to use that!)

WWWWD? It's all good. It's Wonder Good. Although I do not think Wonder Woman would want to be worshiped, that is still no reason to not follow in the example she sets (minus annoying, ignorant creators who seek their own advantage at her expense). Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.

we can understand that whole squandering of talent...sometimes there just isn't an appropriate outlet for someone's work, and that's what we want to help change...give that people that outlet...we always hear people talking about things should be different and how someone should do something to help the artistic community...but they never do anything themselves...well, not everyone...but we want to take that initiative and actually do something, create an outlet for those artists who want to get their work out there, but never had the right avenues...i liked the stuff on your website too...cool stuff...

[ Posted by richalcott on Dec 26th, 2006 9:27 AM ]...

Thanks, dudes, for the comment. As for the question, except for the old Hollywood glamour pix, all the photography in Talking Pix is mine, either with my old Nikon FM and 24mm lens on film or with a Canon Powershot expedient digital camera. Your stuff is remarkable, brilliant I might say. I'm guessing you start on paper, then scan in and fine tune on the computer. Do you feel like talking just a bit about your technique?

[ Posted by illustrators_lounge on Dec 26th, 2006 2:42 PM ]...

Yeah, sure. As you've probably seen already, there's four of us, so we all have our own way of doing things. We do start on paper 90% of the time, it's just easier to get an idea down. I myself transfer the drawings to Photoshop, or when I'm animating, Flash. Flash has a great tool (Trace bitmap) which vectors everything for you. Then you just plop in the colour! Not as easy as it sounds usually, unfortunately...

We also do a lot of stencils which should be up on the site soon. Have you ever done any? I really enjoy that side of things, it's a bit messy, but that's the fun part!

Kyri
