I am the writer and co-creator of "The Fist of Justice", a superhero that graces the pages of 'Digital Webbing Presents'. FoJ first appeared in issue #24 of the anthology book and has since become the lead feature, starting in issue #29. Fist is a hero from the 70s trying to adjust to life and times in the 21st century.

Prior to having FoJ as the lead for Digital Webbing Presents, I also appeared in DWP #s 17, 18 and 21. Seventeen and eighteen each featured a story of "Warmageddon", a world in which gladiatorial combat is the main means of entertainment and revenue. Issue #21 featured a story of zombies and a famous ocean liner. It's how I think things REALLY went "down".

When "Warmageddon" went to it's own, full-magazine sized B&W book (Warmageddon Illustrated/Quarterly), I wrote about 90% of the first few issues and created (or helped to create) the majority of the "main" characters (Ulmragha, Kri'lang, Izzy and Gunnar and Tiegre to name a few). I owe Jamal more stories, so expect to see more from me in upcoming issues.

Check out Fist of Justice!
Warmageddon can be found right here.
And here is The Corpse (and here as well)!

I hang out at the Digital Webbing Forums.

Beyond Comics in Frederick, MD, is where I work. The pay ain't great, but I get to call myself the Assistant Manager so at least I SOUND like I make oodles of cash. (and yeah, the website isn't really much of anything right now).

My personal website is imboden.org, but I'm awfully lazy and lead a pretty boring life, so I don't update it as often as I should or would like to do.

Here's ten things about me that you might not know (but obviously will now that you've read this):
-- I like Godzilla
-- I love "The Destroyer" series of books
-- I have an Xbox 360
-- I love 80's music
-- My favorite movie is the original Star Wars
-- I paid to see my favorite movie 23 times in theaters
-- I'm a huge fan of Roddy Piper
-- I like slasher and zombie movies
-- My favorite super-heroes are Spider-Man, Luke Cage and Moon Knight
(and Fist of Justice, of course!)
-- Back before the Internet became popular, Ed Dukeshire and I ran the
first comic book message network carried by dial-up BBSes - CBN,
the ComicBook Net.

It's a bonanza of cover images featuring Fist of Justice! I didn't draw them, but I DID write the FoJ stories that were inside of the comics these babies wrapped around.

Since we're re-running this story in this year's Free Comic Book Day "Digital Webbing Jam", I figured I'd increase our exposure a little by sharing the story with all of you Comic Space readers.

Great! I loved it!

Lemme know when you can come by the store or something - I'll comp you the previous appearances.

You doing Baltimore again this year? I'm gonna need a room (of course) if that's possible.

I'll probably be by the store tomorrow after work, I need to pick up a Doctor Who comic from IDW for someone in the UK... apparently they don't get them there, oddly enough. And yeah, I'm planning on going to Baltimore. It's still too early to reserve rooms or anything, but it shouldn't be a problem to get you a room again.

Let me know if you guys ever need any help with the lettering for FOJ.

Thanks for the compliments! We've got a lot of stuff planned out, so hopefully sales will rebound a little when the final issue of Digital Webbing Presents comes out. If so, we'll be able to produce a FoJ one-shot and hopefully spin that into a series of minsis or more one-shots.

I can't believe Ryan Brewster has re-surfaced. Now we need to track down Chris Oarr. Any other names from the CBN days that were regulars?

Yo!! How was Sunday? I spent like two hours at the mall before getting to go home. Man, I'm still tired!

Gah, Sunday was bad, man. I slowly packed up during the afternoon and finally left around 4:30.

I was kinda bummed when I first went to the mall there a couple years ago. Logic told me it wouldn't look like it did in Dawn of the Dead, but nonetheless... :(

[ Posted by Brewster on Apr 21st, 2007 1:36 PM ]...

Aw it makes me happy just to see the word "ComicBookNet". Man it's been too long. I have a lot of catching up to do on this Fist of Justice fellow - where might one look for back issues?

Well, there's always directly from Ed at the digitalwebbing.com website. Or, if you're neat Pittsburgh, I'll be at the Pittsburgh Comic Con next weekend so you could buy them directly from me.

I just noticed that you're in Chicago. That's not too close to Pittsburgh, so maybe Ed's site is the best bet. :)

RE: NEW YORK COMIC CON
Howdy Mike!
I would have seen you there, but they wouldn't let me do their show.
I tried to get in like 8 months ago, but it seems they are hand picking who they are letting in.
I guess they don't like cartoon boobs.... and I think they don't like my art either!
Ah well.....
See ya in Pittsburgh!!!!!

Yeah, Bill -- buy fifty-million copies! You know you wanna!

Remove[ Posted by JustBill on Feb 5th, 2007 4:17 PM ]...

Dude... if I had the $$$ to buy fifty million copies, I'd own your company!!! Hell, I'd own Marvel! :)
