Yo!
I'm living in Ross On Wye, UK but originally come from the Wirral area which was a bus ride from Liverpool and thereby a wealth of comic and graphic novel literature, but I was out of the comics loop for about 10 years, only recently reviving my interest when the Marvel Ultimate line came out and I could actually read a comic without a million editor's notes on every page referring to other comics that, if you didn't read, you'd never understand the nuances of the story you were trying to keep up with.
Back in school, a couple of kids and I tried coming up with a comic which should have worked - one was a great artist, one had a business mind, one was an inspirational jackass and then there was me... who was good at English and could dream up cool stories, but kids being kids it never came of anything.
I've kept up creative writing and would love to try my hand at something comic-related before I'm too old!

Right now I'm reading The Ultimates, Ultimate X-Men, Ultimate Spider-Man, Punisher MAX, Hellraiser, Predator/AVP and The Walking Dead. I always wait for TPBs or hardcopies rather than loose comics because I'm a skinflint for one, and secondly it looks better on bookshelves... yeah, graphic novels are BOOKS. LOL
