J_Storm
I've been working on and writing comic ideas for about 15 years now. While I used to read a lot of the spandex hero books (i.e. Iron Man, X-Men, Spiderman, Green Lantern and on and on and on) I never actually wanted to write them. Ok that's not entirely true, I did work up a seriously kick ass rewrite of the Ghost Rider story and dreamed of pitching it as a Max line title but I digress, the point is while I loved reading the spandex books growing up I never really wanted to write them.
I love to write stories that are a bit different, like a sci-fi adventure book that is so completely saturated with dark humor and disgusting descriptives you may cringe and laugh at the same time. Or a supernatural team book that is gritty and down to earth, whose leader sports a gut and a serious drinking problem. Or a funny book about a porn shop working slacker that finds out he was born aa a necromancer, or a not so distant future book where big corporations now own entire cities and a genetically engineered boy spends his nights fighting back against the shady corporate coffee giant that owns his town. I could keep going with the random comic ideas but really there is one more kind I would like to work on: Fantasy Adventure. I have two ideas, one that is straight fantasy set in a fantasy world, and one that is set in a distant future earth that combines mythology and sci-fi survival. To the point, I'm looking for an artist. Someone that likes drawing fantasy art, with a lot of realism, that is as hungry to break into the business as I am. I have found artists in my area, but I have yet to find any with the drive to finish a project. So I'm throwing up a bat signal here, any artist that may be interested in working on a fantasy comic I can't wait for you to respond. |
