When it comes to the comics industry, I've worn many hats. Currently, I am
*Administrator of the Will Eisner Comic Industry Awards, a position I have held since 1990. I also administer the Bill Finger Excellent in Writing Award and am involved in Comic-Con International's Manning, Clampett, and Inkpot awards.
*Co-publisher/editor/letterer of Batton Lash's Supernatural Law comic books, trade paperbacks, and webcomic (www.supernaturallaw.com). Batton and I were married in 1994 and established Exhibit A Press that year to publish his ongoing "Wolff & Byrd, Counselors of the Macabre" weekly newspaper strip in comic book form.
*Consultant/speaker on graphic novels. I have served as consultant for ForeWord magazine's graphic novel supplement, Comique, for the last two years and served as writer of the lead article. I have done presentations about graphic novels to wide variety of groups, from book publishing industry professionals to library patrons to writers' workshops.

My past associations with comics have included:
*A member of the first board of directors for Friends of Lulu and president from 1994 to 1999. In that capacity I was involved in organizing several Friends of Lulu conferences.
*Editor of Dark Horse Comics' coffeetable book Comics: Between the Panels, published in 1999.
*Editor of numerous publications for Comic-Con International: San Diego from 1977 to 2006. For the last few years I have produced the onsite CCI Events Guide.
*Volunteer for Comic-Con in such capacities as Pro Liaison, Artists' Alley coordinator, chair of the guest subcommittee, PR/ad person, information coordinator, official photographer, etc. over the last 30 years
*Photographer whose pix of comics pros appeared in numerous publications
