Hello there!

Its a real pleasure to meet so many of you here at Comic Space. Im new so Im still trying to figure out some of the bells, whistles and netiquette. So far Im just really impressed by all the amazingly creative people here and all of the thoughtful fans of the comic medium.

Just a bit of background on me if anyone is interested. I've loved comics my entire life, especially comics related to monsters like Godzilla and The Hulk. When it dawned on me that some grownups were making a living creating those things, the path of my life seemed very clear. A wise man said "Find what you love to do, then trick somebody into paying you to do it." Or something like that. ;)

Broke into comics in 1994 with a fillin issue of ShadowHawk (#15) for Image comics. Did a Spin-Off of that comic called "The Others" for a little while. Comics can be a tough business though for freelancers. I ended up bouncing around here and there for smaller companies doing anything I could find. Sometimes I would work a crappy weekend job and draw comics almost for free during the weekdays. Sometimes ya just have to follow your passions.

Anyways, I was glad to work for all the companies I did during the 90's, and in 2000 I moved to Los Angeles to become a pencilling intern for Top Cow. What a learning experience! Once in LA I also tried my hand at theatrical animation, storyboards, and everything I could find. I found steady work in video game and movie poster advertising illustration where I learned photoshop on the job. It was like being paid to go to art college. This year I have stepped back from full time advertising work a bit to re-enter the comic medium I love so much. I recently finished my first book for Top Cow Productions which should be out in April sometime. It's "Darkness Level 4". Im having the time of my life doing comic work again! Im a bit rusty, but feeling better with each page. I'll try to keep ya'all updated on whats next.

Meanwhile Ive posted up a few samples of my art. In the coming months as newer advertising work is made public I will share some of my newer stuff including a bunch of work on MotorStorm for PS3 (Magazine covers for OPM and PLAY) and God of War 2 for PS2. Plus a ton of stuff for the X-Box 360. I appreciate all the feedback, and I will try to keep checking in on all of your artistic endeavors as well.
