Youngblood returns to Image!

Well, the news is out; Rob Liefeld is bringing Youngblood back to where it all began - Image Comics. Rob launched Image in 1992 with Youngblood as the book leading the charge. Now, after 12 years Youngblood is back under the "i" logo.

First up is a re-mastered hardcover of the original Youngblood series from the 1990s will be published later this year by Image. Then, in early 2008, the all new Youngblood series launches. The new series is written by Joe Casey (as I correctly predicted) and pencilled by Derec Donovan with colors by Val Staples.

OK, here's my take; this is the biggest news story in indy comics in 2007, period. Over the next 72 hours, message boards across fandom will be CONSUMED by this news as eager fanboys like me and the millions of others who love Rob's work wage an epic and apocalyptic battle against the trolls who oppose Rob for no clear or sane reason.

The flat out truth is that the trolls lost this one before the battle began; anyone who doesn't believe that the all-new Youngblood with the Image "i" on the cover will sell a gagillion copies is a damn fool.

Comics will never be the same again; Youngblood is back!
