Header: Hero By Night #2 is the ComiXtreme pick of the week!
Bulletin: Blake Petit over at ComiXtreme made HBN 2 his pick of the week this week, awesome news. (thanks Blake!) We've been getting nothing but good reviews on this book, and every retailer that we've talked with absolutely loves it. good to hear that an all ages book can create such a good vibe. here's a link to his mention, and a link to the original review of the story from eariler in the week as well

snippet "In a week full of solid comics, but nothing truly mind-blowing, selecting a favorite was actually quite a chore. After much soul-searching, deliberation, meditation, prayer and Cool Ranch-flavored Doritos, I’ve decided this week’s trophy goes to Hero By Night #2. D.J. Coffman and Jason Embury’s miniseries about a guy who finds the hidden cache of a long-lost hero is original, refreshing, and a lot of fun. If you’re looking for a new look at superheroes without the doom and gloom, but with plenty of excitement and adventure, check out Hero By Night."

snippet "It’s also, simply put, highly entertaining. Coffman’s characters feel quite realistic. We’re not being asked to believe that Jack is some immensely noble young man who just happened to stumble upon an old hero’s cache of goods. Instead, he’s a pretty ordinary man – even a bit of a slacker – who is being forced to confront his mistakes and find a hero inside himself. It’s a pretty good message, really.

Coffman’s artwork is just as good as his writing. He’s got a wonderful, slightly cartoony style that perfectly suits the tone of the story. Joined by wonderful colors by Jason Embury, this is a package that looks ripe for the translation into an animated movie (or even TV series)."

even MORE Hero By Night news is on the horizon, and I'm so giddy with little kid glee about it that I'm literally almost bursting at the seams to share it. But not yet, patience being a virtue and all, I'll wait a BIT longer to share things.
