New books on the stands in March, and upcoming projects!

Bulletin:

This month the 2nd issue of the ongoing Hero By Night series hit the stands. Great action packed, all ages read. It continues to get glowing reviews from everyone who picks it up, which is nice to see. I love coloring that book because the only rules are to make it fun, Saturday morning cartoon type of fun. It's almost like playing around and not work, although, that's pretty much what every day is like here :D

Coming up in March, look for the 96 page graphic novel, Hotshot and Mighty Girl to hit stands, been working on that for about 3 months now, and it came out great I think. ALSO coming out the end of March, maybe the first week of April, is Big Badz #1. A great werewolf story, penned by THE Chuck Dixon, and artwork by Enrique Villagran. I'm still partly fanboy geeking out over getting to work on another book that Chuck Dixon has wrote, this time not just helping out on colors like I did on the KISS 4K: Kissmas special one-shot he wrote, but actually coloring the entire mini-series. I just hope it sells well enough to warrant a nice trade collection treatment when we're done. I'd love to put THAT on my bookshelf too :D

In other news, Pistolfist: Revolutionary Warrior, a series I colored the first 2 issues of way back in 2006, is being re-released by Bluewater productions this coming summer, that's another really fun book, and a period where I learned a lot about myself as a colorist too (like how far I still had to go to get to just GOOD). Still proud of the work on that series to this day though. I'm also busy starting digital inks and colors on the 2nd issue of the upcoming Dabel Bros. series, Take a Chance here in the next month, and headed to WWLA on March 13th as well. whew! glad I'm done being sick here this month, things are getting crazy!
