Wait, that's not right. Let me start again...

Jazz and Jess are the brain children and imaginary friends of Nate.
However, as Nate himself is an imaginary friend of Dukes things can get a little bit confusing, as you can imagine.
To sort this personality battle out, Nate started producing comics based on his two bug-eyed creations and for a time all was well.

But then, tragedy struck as Nate's imaginary-friend status was revealed to him, and he went spiralling out of control, and straight into the front end of a moving bus.
Duke could not sit-by idly anymore and so took up the reins of writing.
So now, when Nate isn't drunk, or Duke isn't throwing eggs at old people, you have Jazz and Jess!
