Hi. I am a sometimes-teacher, sometimes-comicker, with a compulsive need to tell stories about cross-cultural tensions and an obsessive tendency to draw detailed backgrounds. I can say "hello" in twenty languages but "Where is the toilet?" in only three. I once drew a panel with 236 pigeons in it. For definitive proof that I am unbalanced check out my comics at:
http://www.jonathondalton.com/mycomics.html

Comics at my site include:
Lords of Death and Life A Mesoamerican historical fantasy about a Mayan farmer plagued by strange visions. New pages are added once a week on Sunday(-ish).
A Mad Tea-Party A sci-fi social drama set in a post-apocalyptic (but nicely rebuilt) Japan starring two squabbling sisters and a host of political trouble-makers.
Maida Kilwa Poor Maida not only has to put up with living on a whole new planet, but the other girls at school as well.
Land of Two Tigers A short story about a boy who learns more than just magic from an old Aolai woman.

And
Kelechi, Queen of the World. Kelechi is queen of everything she sees. It's her subjects that are the problem.

Thanks! I just hope my comic gets into the book- I'm having trouble keeping from showing it to people!

Not only does the Lee's Lang have coffee, it is ethical in nature if you know where peel your peepers!

Yesterday I learned that they are not even able to properly digest bamboo, and yet it's all they eat. WHY??
I'm still loving the mad tea party!

I have to agree with "shiny." The attention to detail in Lords of Death and Life is inspiring me to do more with the scenery and cityscapes in my own comic as I wade into the next chapter (back to Herculaneum and Pompeii). Also, I think maybe I should skip that Mel Gibson movie and just read your comic instead :)

Wow, your comics are awesome!

This looks like a good read. Your camera angles are superb, as is your attention to detail. I'm bookmarking this and look forward to seeing this, and your talent, evolve. Very nice stuff.

One cannot help but appreciate your conscientious attention to detail.
