I demand the posting of these mermaids you speak of!

Whahuh? You write during what might be first and only 45-minute stretch in my life when I haven't been speaking of mermaids.

I'm sorry, I was responding to Bougieman's post.

Oh, I'm a giant moron. I have, somehow, not noticed Bougieman's post in the twenty-some days it's been sitting there. Your mermaid comments actually makes sense to people who can use their eyes to look at things and read.

Thanks for the awesome convention sketch at SPX of the nekkid mermaid girls, Joel!
I loves it to pieces!

Joel, thanks for the add -- I know we've only spoken briefly at SPX this year and in 2004, but I really admire your work. Chris Pitzer REALLY knew what he was doing publishing your stuff.

Thanks, Stan! It was great talking to you at SPX. And, yeah, Pitzer's a mensch.

Joel, I meant to ask, when we did that interview back in 2003, you mentioned you were hoping to get a copy of Pulpatoon Pilgrimage to Tom Waits. Did that ever happen?

I don't think it made it to him. Still, I scour the lyrics to his new albums, just in case he makes a reference. I haven't heard his latest three-album collection. Any bluesy, whiskey-soaked songs about sad robots with fishbowl brains?

"Love the Punch and Judy books. Will be on the lookout for your other books."

Thanks Joel, coming from you that means a lot.

"Eisner worthies:
Gemma Bovary by Posy Simmonds (or was this out last year?)
We Are On Our Own by Miriam Katin
Do Not Go Where I Cannot Follow by Anders Nilsen."

Thanks for the suggestions, and I'll be sure to check them out. You forgot one of my favorite books of the year; "IronHide Tom." Seriously, that book was killer.

Well, I wasn't going to say anything, but... I do have this small globe-shaped empty space on my bookshelf.

Seriously, though, thanks for the kind words. I'm glad you liked IHT!

Hey, Joel. Things are right pretty here in Central VA., better here than Seattle! And for the record, I have no idea what all this (fill in the blank)space is about either.

Thanks for the add, I really enjoy your work. Ironhide Tom and Onion Jack were spectacular, what else have you got cooking? Take care.

I'd like to, but I grow facial hair like mountain moss- about an inch every fifty years.

Your work is really great. I can't wait to get some (when I make some money).

Ha ha, hi joel! It's like us AdHousers should be able to transform into a giant Pitzer or something.

JOEL! I'm glad we both signed up for this silliness!

The Preposterous Voyages of IronHide Tom was by far the best thing I grabbed at free comic day. High fives!
