Tie-in novels sell largely on the strength of the original properties: Angel fans buying Angel books, Conan fans picking up Conan tie-ins, etc.

But original novels don't have that built-in advantage. They sell on their own merits and the popularity of their authors.

Which is a subtle way of leading into the fact that the June publisher's catalogs containing my original supernatural thriller Missing White Girl is out, and sales reps are fanning across the country visiting bookstores to sell it to them (along with dozens, if not hundreds, of other books).

So this would be a good time for you, if you're a fan of my writing, to drop into your friendly local bookstore and ask them to order it for you. If you don't, they might not have it when you are looking for it in June.
