| Bulletin: | "Alberto Dose, who enjoyed a solid run with Geoff Johns on Flash #200-#206 a few years back, stampedes his way back on the scene with Desperadoes: Buffalo Dreams, an intriguing Western that finds a band of outlaws on a vision quest to help the ghost of Geronimo. Dose's stylized, Eduardo Risso-esque pencils provide the necessary grit, while the graphically stark red, white and black cover hits you like a .45 slug in the forehead." Ignoring what Wizard failed to mention, like the writer of this "intriguing story" (and how come Geoff Johns gets mentioned in a piece about Desperadoes but Jeff Mariotte doesn't?), the fact that Geronimo is alive, not a ghost, in the story, and it isn't a vision quest, which is a specific thing and not a synonym for "quest," they're right about Alberto Dose. His art is brilliant in Buffalo Dreams. If you haven't seen it yet, check it out! Jeff |
