Comicopia: I founded this comic-themed APA in 1990. I no longer run it, but I was still a contributing member after almost 17 years. On April 18th, 2007, we put together our 100th issue. Note: The Old Detective's Watering Hole closed its doors with #100. A new zine began.

The Original Universe was born in July 2007. Rules you will find on this site: http://fanselfpub.wetpaint.com Update: March 6, 2009 The Original Universe is now an Aurora Award nominee! Update 2: If you're Canadian, please vote for me here. It will cost you a nominal 5 bucks, or free if you're already a Worldcon member.
Update 3: Voting ended July 15th, 2009. I'll just hope I did enough. I'll know when the awards are given out August 7th.

Frostbite Comics: I was an editor here in the late 1980s. Don't worry if you don't remember the name; if you blinked, you missed it.

NaNoWriMo: As of 2007, I've now won this four years in a row, writing an entire 50 thousand-word first draft of a novel in the 30 days of November.

(Actually I passed 50K on the 28th. My final word count was 53, 504)

I didn't make a win in 2007, but a lot of that was due to treating a sick cat. He died Nov. 22nd. RIP, buddy. I miss you a lot.

Although my friend Emru Townsend died from leukemia in 2008, I got to within about 1900 words of a win in 2008.

Pardon this pre - written/fourm Seasons Greetings, as always we wish for peace on earth, and in this New Year may you have the wisdom to drink no more than one glass of alcohol for every too of alcohol and not drive… er, no. That’s water. One of alcohol and 2 of water- yah - so as to not get a bad hangover due to over conviviality. And maybe a nice bit of nosh too, a bit of nuts and cheese. And hey, some roasted meat or appropriate vegetarian substitute - but not tofurky, god that stuff is awful - so you don’t puke and look green like the other day at my friends place – the water that is, so you don’t puke - and the nosh so there is something solid to soak it all up with, bread with it all is really the best - her poor roommate I saw there while waiting to go to the bus station. And yah, don’t forget to not spend your buss or taxi money on all that like I did once - stick it in your shoe or something, unless you expect to loos those at some point. What was I saying? Oh yah, so happy New Year all!
