Header: Artist Needed
Bulletin: Wanted: Artist for a 100 page urban fantasy comic.

Available material: the complete script, plus some other stuff.

The artist with whom I've worked on this had to bow out, so I'm looking to start this project again from scratch. The main reason for that is that I want to maintain a uniform visual style on this, instead of switching artists and art styles in mid-stream.

The plan:

You, the artist would get to work ahead to create a "comfort zone" before we get started. That could be 10 pages, or 15, or however many you like. Once the comfort zone has been established, we will take this online as a webcomic, with a weekly update. The point of the webcomic is to create buzz for and awareness of the project.

Next year, I will take this to some European cons to show around, and to try and find a publisher for the print collection. (I seriously hope to have a literary agent by then who can do a lot of the shopping around for us, but that's a different story.) When the project is completed, we will find a publisher who will put it into bookstores as an OGN.

As I mentioned, I already started this once with a different artist. The first attempt got pretty good reviews from Sequential Tart and The Fourth Rail. I'm not saying that this will put us on the A-List, but I am confident that it will be an attention-getter.

If you're up to it, PM me.
