Sure. Hoping to see an Ace & Queenie book.

Jer,

You should think about adding some galleries of the various Purrsia books, my friend. See you at the con on the 11th.

Take care,
Sean

I'm hoping to move to Atlanta in late 2008, and danged if knowing artists like you live there doesn't make the prospect even more appealing. Great stuff!

Thanks for the add. Do you know Mike Curtis? He is the author of Shanda the Panda and many other titles. I met him when I was a student at UCA in Conway, AR. Nice guy. Keep up the good work.

Never met him. He never paid me for the comic we did in Furry NHS: Quagville, much less get any sample copies of it.

Sorry, to hear about that. I'll be at the Nashville show as well. I've done it a couple times. It's a fun show. Be sure to stop by and say hi.

"Both Ninja High School and Furry Ninja High School"
Heh
Worked with both Jim and Ben? I might be able to learn something from you. :P

Hey Jer - cool to friend you. I'm neither furry nor anime inspired, so I find it unusual for someone specializing in it to be into what I do, but I think it's cool to break down the barriers between genres. Maybe we'll be able to do that sometime. ~Bri

Thanks so much for the befriendification! ^_^

And it seems like there was a Swimsuit thing you were doing that I could have submitted something for, if only I had known about this 5 days earlier... darnit! x,x

EDIT: Ooh, deadline is May 30th now? Hmmm, well I will certainly have to send something in... Are you accepting color submissions, or should it be black and white?

Hi. My company's annual Purrsia Press Swimsuit Special is still taking submissions for this year's issue. Here are the guidelines for it:

*All characters must be either from a Purrsia Press comic title, or original to the artist, or one given permission to by the artist. No unauthorized "fan art".
*Art must be submitted on 8.5 x 11 white paper, or on CD-Rom. Don't send any submissions through email.
*Send all submissions to: P.O. Box 53113, Atlanta, GA. 30355.
*The deadline is May 14, 2007.
*All those whose artwork is accepted will get 3 free copies of this year's issue.

My company of http://www.purrsiapress.com just completed issue #5 of our ongoing anthology series, Manga Maximum. It's a collection of short self-contained manga-styled comics. We hope to get issue #6 done before the end of the year, provide we get some more material for it.

We now have an official Comicspace page for Free Mini Comic Day. Go to http://www.comicspace.com/freeminicomicday

[ Posted by jeralford on Feb 27th, 2007 3:52 AM ]...

Hi. I'm starting up a new event for all mini-comics creators in North America to coincide with Free Comic Book Day on May 5. This is called Free Mini Comic Day, and you see the site at http://www.freeminicomicday.com.

Free Mini Comic Day is an online and offline event where mini-comics creators will giving away free copies of some of their titles. These might be original to FMCD, while others might be sampler copies of some of their previous work. But all material will be comics, no catalogs or ad books! They will be printed by the creators themselves, or through other printers. Mini-Komix(http://www.minikomix.com)will be available to print some for those who need to have theirs done for FMCD. Copies are going to be for sale through this website on May 5, as well as through the individual comics creators' sites, plus various comic stores and online dealers. Every title will be for "all ages", meaning comics with no excessive amount of blood, sex, or nudity will be accepted into our lineup. FMCD is planning on making live appearances on May 5 for most of its participants to give out copies of their comics. If this event proves successful, expect to see more if in the future!
