| Header: | Talented Comic Story Writer Wanted for Graphic Novel | ||
| Bulletin: | I am posting this around the web to find the best candidate possible for the writing of a special graphic novel... For you to make an educated decision I've provided as much detail as I could below. Type of Story: Its not a superhero story. Its an action/tech story. Thought provoking, emotional, suspenseful. We need your knowledge and writing skill to accomplish this. Its a technology driven story involving a fusion of 3d and hand drawn approaches. The end result will not suggest 3d, but rather superior technical continuity, finished at a somewhat traditional comic and digitally painted look. Pay: Our marketing approach is unique to say the least, so you will be receiving a portion of royalties before the book is even finished. The art in the book will be superior in quality, rendered with a greater amount of care than average for a graphic novel, with the intent of selling elements piece by piece to graphic design professionals, bloggers, etc. Selling art in this nature is how I make my living as an illustrator, so I know it works. When the novel is published, you will continue to make royalties on that as well. Your Research and Writing: Understanding this will be helpful as you write out the story, knowing that the visual content produced must have an amount of potential in general design. Even if you think generally on this matter, the artists can do the rest. As the writer you will have the most control over the story, with us leaving you to what you do best. We will be choosing someone like us: An established freelancer who has earned his way in his particular market. We all benefit from each other's experience. A world and a setting is already provided, the story will be yours to decide. The story itself will call for knowledge in both Japanese and American tech culture, plus a general understanding of modern and past advertising methods, since as you will see, the main character (a robot) is the product of these things. Time and Approach: A year is what we are hoping for project time, but since we will be deriving profits from its work on a monthly basis, we will be allowed to finish it sooner or later. You have time to think and produce a good story. We can keep ourselves busy in the meantime on other aspects of the book. Lastly, since you will be a part of this, we would like to apply your talents throughout the year finding various ways to promote our work through articles, blogs, etc. All of us will have a continuous role. We will be working through an online interface which we will use to track the project, exchange files, etc. The artists involved are experienced in traditional and technological approaches in art. You will be surprised. Please contact me: Leo@Jesterarts.net if you have questions or are interested. My website www.JesterArts.net may be of interest to you if you wish to see what I bring to the table for skillz! |
