Header: The Comic Torah - the website & the book (well ... maybe the book)
Bulletin: I know there's a lot of webcomics out there to peruse, but this one is really something to see.

http://afreeman.com/52portions/index.htm

Not only is the subject matter one of Biblical proportions (not to be confused with the webcomic Of Biblical Proportions), but in this webcomic G-d is a green woman and many of the Biblical characters are black (ummm ... African-Hebrew? African-Cannanite? Not sure of the correct PC terminology for ancient history).

But here's the good news (no, I'm not preching "The Good News" ... this is a comics forum, after all).

There is a very good chance that this worthwhile webcomic will get published on paper and sold in a comic shop near you.

In order to make that happen, the publisher has resorted to fundraising / pre-selling via Kickstarter. This isn't a new concept. As a matter of fact, successful Kickstarter projects have included Poorcraft: A Comic Book Guide to Frugal Urban and Suburban, Join the Multiplex: Book 1 Club of Awesome, and The Wonder City.

Anyone pledging $22 will get a signed copy of The Comic Torah.

Current stats :

93% funded
$11,207.21 pledged
120 backers
13 days left
