It started with Dennis the Menace and Batman Family. It continued as a 12 year old getting comics from a distributer and buying multiple copies of the New Teen Titans from issue #1. Then, insanity and rock and roll took over (damn puberty). I sold everything for 20¢ a book and stayed away from comics.

I was intrigued by the JLA/Avengers mini by Perez and picked it up. Then, I was lured into Green Lantern Rebirth. Whoops, that was a mistake. Roll forward with Identity Crisis from the library and Infinite Crisis comes out. Now I have a very expensive and satisfying habit, er, hobby.

Thank God my wife digs it. (No, thank Bill Willingham . . . Fables and Ironwood got immediate comic cred in my house). Now I pour most available cash to DCBS and my LCS: Westfield Comics, Etc.

My goal for the next decade is to spread the word and make it accessible for my 3 year old girl . . . who just LOVES Owly and Krypto right now.

Book I Just Finished
THE LONG COUNT #1 - Seek this book out. It has a great story that reads way too fast and makes you groan when the end of the book comes too soon. The bonus is that the artwork is so good that you go back and re-read it several times to get the full effect. It's too bad that it is only a bi-monthly.
