Oh man......all those fantastic artists that I've tried to learn from my whole life.......Kurtzman,
Kirby, N.C. Wyeth, Mort Drucker, Frazetta, Norman Rockwell, Neal Adams, etc, etc....& many more....that was/is my arts school....
My first love was comics and animation.....but the money and benefits were WAY better in Adveritsing and Children's publishing, which is where I've made my living since the mid 70's....Primarily I'm a Story board artist in Chicago,live in Bucktown with my wife...
I also draw Streetwise guys......homeless people......the odd looking cashier that ya don't really realize was strange looking, unttil you see my drawing of him...... I giggle at funerals....
Children, dogs and cats, know that I am one of them......and acknowlege that in kind.
As an artist I find every single detail in mundane life fascinating and yearning to be drawn, or photographed..... a lost one eyed doll, a broken pair of spectacles, etc..well, you know.......
Very serious artist, am I.....but it's a freakin party, that never ends!
So sad about the children I know.....they grow up.....and I don't.
