| Bulletin: | Last night, I met with a former co-worker to get some insider hints on getting one's foot in the comic industry door (as a writer/creator). It was exciting to see what he's accomplished and fun to discuss the possibilities of this expanding industry. From our meeting, I gathered a few tid-bits that seemed foundational: 1. Know what you're in it for -- money? writing stories? money and writing stories? etc. 2. Get your stuff out there - webcomics, PODs, however you can. 3. Don't get too caught up on what's been done before. I would love to hear anyone else's advice for the above -- getting the ball rolling as a writer/creator. Please share. Thanks! Joel |
