RE: We need you!!!!

If we had a few more conventions in the south like this, boy it would be paradise! I live in FL and try to attent conventions in mid and south FL, so Flint MI is a LITTLE out of my way, even though my wife has family in the area.

Great press release, BTW. Good luck and much success!

I really enjoyed your column on inking, especially those great tips! I wouldn't have thought about half of those on my own. Thanks for sharing!

Thanks a bunch, Javier! I don't often hear from subscribers of SKETCH in regards to my "Inkblots" column and I'm fairly new at the whole columnist thing so I sometimes wonder how boring or idiotic I sound...always great to hear that some of you dig the shop talk. I try to juggle shop talk with my career experiences, with some history, and some visual stuff (something I've been asked to try to focus on). I have several columns that have been written up in advance to cover the whole year, especially now with the Inkwell Awards topic and subsequent results a couple of issues later. I try to be eclectic...please LMK what you think!

Best,
Bob Almond

Thanks for the add! I just read the new copy of SKETCH magazine and it was really inspiring to hear about how you are handling being your own boss and managing your own art company. I can relate!

RE: New Short Story: Chrysalis
That's a really nice story! The art is very good and the script is well done.

Good luck!

BTW, add a link to your comic in your next press release or update, it makes it easier to find your story if all I have to do is click a link.

RE: New Bluewater titles 2007 - not including the Ray Harryhausen titles

All of these sound really interesting and look like lots of fun! I have very fond memories of CHASSIS, so that's the one I'm looking forward to.

Best wishes!

Great news to hear about your involvement with IDW's Star Trek books. You always deliver awesome work in the worlds of Trek, so I look forward to seeing your artistry on a new Trek adventure. I recognized the D.C. Fontana name from the ST:OS show. Wrote a couple of classic episodes too. Keep us informed!
