In just a short time since the announcement that J. M. DeSantis will be attending the 2009 NYCC, additional information must be given as to the Writer and Illustrator's appearance there.

First and foremost, J. M. DeSantis is has been nominated for the Comicbook Artists Guild’s ‘Best New Talent’ Award. The CAG Awards ceremony will be held on the first day of the convention (Friday, February 6th) at 7:00-8:00 pm in room 1A23*. Other categories include Best Artist, Best Writer, and Best Story. If you wish to show your support for J. M. or any of the other nominees, please do not hesitate to stop by.

In addition, on Saturday, February 7th, J. M. DeSantis will be participating in two other events with CAG. To begin with, he will be one of the panelists for ‘CAG and the Benefits to Web Comics’, taking place at 4:00-5:00 pm (again in room 1A23*), where, as the name states, the panelists will discuss all of the benefits of the rising and increasingly popular web comics medium. Do not miss this event, especially if you wish to know more about using the internet as a form of publication for your work.

What’s more, J. M. DeSantis has also added his name to the list of sponsors and attendees for the Comicbook Artists Guild’s Indy After Party. Again, taking place on Saturday, February 7th, at Blaggard’s Pub and Resturaunt (8 West 38th Street, New York, NY 10018; between 5th and 6th Avenue) from 8:00 pm to Midnight, the party is open to the entire comics community. Attendance will be strong this year, and with a cash bar and complimentary food, never mind the company thereat, how can you miss this event?
