Bulletin: Well, I know I'm rarely here, but I wanted to post a real quick "thoughts" bulletin about the ComicCon for this year. First, it was spectacular. I think of all of the mega-cons that I've been to in the San Diego Convention Center (I've only missed 2), this one was by far the best. The number of different and varied vendors made shopping a lot of fun, and the panels this year were really first rate! But, I think the biggest improvement this year over others was the number of people they let in the doors. We all (in my small group of friends) felt like they must have sold fewer passes for each day, thus selling out EVERY day, and keeping the convention floor just a little less crowded than it has been in the past. We were all really surprised at how much "easier" it felt to move around the floor. One of my friends is in a wheelchair. If he thought there was more room to move around, that must mean something!

This is the premier event in the comics and science-fiction/fantasy industry in the world. If you've never been, start saving your pennies and plan on going next year. The doors are never closed to professionals, and we all qualify for our parts. Take advantage of this event. It really is a must-do!

Enjoy the rest of the summer!

Joel
