My connection to the comic world is Gayleague.com, a place for LGBT comics fans or for spiteful evangelicals and neo cons who need to work themselves into a lather. The site sort of fell into my lap when Anton Kawasaki went to work for DC. Somedays I do an okay job of running it, which leads me to another thought or two...

Are you a writer or want to try your hand at it? Have ideas for articles or a burning desire to write reviews? I'm looking for new contributors. Are you an LGBT or gay friendly artist working on webcomic? Please tell me about your work. Do you know PHP and MySQL? Would you be willing to help a cash poor guy in realizing a dream to update and expand a website to include a few more "bells and whistles"? Okay, that's all for the pitiful public pleading.

On a personal note, the first comic I remember seeing was way back in 1st grade in 1964. Yeah, that makes me dinsoaur fanboy of 48. My grandma had stacks of comics left at home by my youngest aunt, but somehow the likes of Lucy, Jerry Lewis, Dobie Gillis, and lots of western Hopalong Cassidy type comics didn't grab my attention. Now my then burgeoning little gay-ness might have been intrigued if there had been any romance comics.

Anyhoo, the first comic I owned was Adventure with the Legion in it. The issue number was #350 something. Still have it, but it's in tatters and long missing the cover. The superhero genre may have been, okay, still is, my mainstay, they're not the "be all and end all" of comics for me. There are only so many obligatory fights between misunderstanding or mind-controlled superheroes, new team rosters, and senses-shattering events I can take. Give me a well-written story with a good plot, believable characters with belieable dialog, and art that serves the story.

Hey! How come no one has any quizzes to take? Oh, wait, that's Myspace. Sorry.

Thank you for reading or at least skimming this rambling soliloquy and either adding me to your list or allowing me to add you to mine.

Twas even more fleeting than I blabbered about to you the other night on the phone. It was nice to be able to say a few things to Q but doubt we're drinking buddies or anything now.

Yeah, he told me the same thing, and no luck finding him either. So, he wants to be mysterious...

Glad David's well! Hope you guys have a great Christmas!

Hiya,
Um, dunno if you found Phil on here yet, but I did a few minutes ago by accident. Somehow instead of requesting to be added, I sent an invitation to him. Try searching for "phil" and two pages of profiles should come up. He should be on the second page.

Thank god it's you and not someone else that I was confused with. Once you get past a certain age your mind starts to forget and your ego can make up things trying to make you not look stupid. Hope life is well for you these days.

Greg, So very late in getting back here and replying. I hope your holidays were wonderful or at least with minimal drama. :-) I was in a Borders last week, saw your book on the shelf, and thought, "It's nice to know the guy who made that..."

Check us out! Gaywebcomics.com is a portal for artists. The portal and the artist's pages income generator will be advertisers. There is no budget to pay artists to join the portal. It will have to be restricted to those 18 and over because there will surely be some naughty bits, but right now that is the only restriction on the slate. I am just excited about getting the site up to see what evolves. My aim is to have a broad cross-section of comics, art and humor. I am hopeful that the site will appeal to the whole GLBT community. Artists will even be able to accept advertising at their site on the gaywebcomics.com portal.

Hey Joe, good to see you here. Not sure if you recall, but I interviewed you a while back during the "gay Batwoman" bruhaha.
