You and Dave Cockrum were and still are a huge influence on me getting into art and comics. Your work remains sharp to this day! I look forward to seeing more!

Like everyone else on your list, I have been a fan of your work for decades. Seems I can't remember a time when credits somewhere didn't say "Inks by JOE RUBINSTEIN". I can't count the amount of time I've lost, not working on my own inking, as I studied your black spotting, line work or line weight variations. You are a master of a very difficult art, & those who have never tried doing it have no idea of all that's involved. My hat is doffed to you, sir. Kudos for being such a sterling example for those who would follow in your footsteps, though they knew they would never catch up. An honor & a privelege to count you among my acquaintances, & perhaps someday, friends. Thanks.
