"For their first steps into the world of comic books, James Hitchcock and Joe Willy show a great amount of promise; a strong grasp of story and an eye toward graphic pacing. Hopefully they will continue to hone their respective skills and continue to turn out creative stories." - Tanya Crawford, Broken Frontier"...it's pretty good for someone just starting out. The stories hang together pretty well too: the first chapter of a kidnapping story with wider implications, and a vignette about a killer-by-assignment. Not bad for the price." - Steven GrantFOR MORE INFO, CLICK ON THE LOGO: My email

Oodles of doodles
A collection of sketchbook stuff, mostly superhero stuff done for my son who just turned six. I don't read much mainstream stuff so a lot of it is kind of a goof and not intended to be serious- none of it was done with much deliberation or care

Did I miss seeing you at Wizard World Chicago? I thought I'd made the rounds throughout Artist's Alley and the small press area.
Of course, maybe my memory is just really bad...
I'm guessing you'll be at Motor City this May --? if so, see you there! |

I feel like the character is Death and not just a killer for hire, because he kills all kinds of regular people and they recognize him. it's a cool story too, and I wonder is there more? also>> I am a big fan of dash's drawing and writing, although I was unsatisfied with his first 2 books. some of his shorter comics on his site are amazing though, like the one about the little girls' prison and the "clue" one. also it amazes me that he writes about bulimia like he was a teenage girl once 1 Reply [ Latest posted on March 4th, 2007 8:10 AM ]

Ding ding ding. You're right on the money with the meaning of the story and also that the final page hasn't been posted. I'm still waiting for the writer and my publishing partner, Jim, to give his OK to post it here or at least post it on our site so I can link to it.
Yeah, totally agree on Dash Shaw's work. I've always liked his art and the strangeness of the stories but it doesn't seem to always hold together. |

Say, is that the full Mr. Smith story in your gallery, or is there more to it? 1 Reply [ Latest posted on March 4th, 2007 8:07 AM ]

Yes, the story's final page has not been posted yet. I still haven't gotten permission from my collaborator to post it here. |
