Header: The future of comic shops?
Bulletin: I have posted a new entry to my blog about the future of comics shops. It was prompted by the recent comics blogosphere discussion about good and bad comic shops. But as I started to write an entry about what made for a good or bad store I ended up writing something about whether comic shops will even exist in 20 years. I hope you at least find it interesting even if you disagree...

A small excerpt: "In much the same way that I prefer to buy music at a local indy record store or rent videos instead of relying on Netflix, I enjoy the weekly shopping experience to browse the shelves to see each Wednesday's new releases but I fear this will become a thing of the past as smaller publishers give up serializing in print for the cheaper and more accessible web. First Blockbuster and now Netflix have killed the local video rental store. Is the same thing happening to the direct market comics retailer? I fear so. So, the question is, what's next?"

Feel free to leave a comment and let me know what you think.
