Let's see... My pro career started in 1983 ghosting color on some Marvel books & finally saw my name all over the place on titles like Amazing Spider-Man, Excalibur, The Mark In America, X-Men Spotlight: Starjammers, Punisher: The Prize, Marvel Comics Presents, and more than my feeble mind can recall.

Eventually got into the writing end as well on books like Critters, Underdog, Riverdale High, Elvira, Little Archie Digest, Felix The Cat, and others. Learn a lil more about me at http://hometown.aol.com/wilcox660/index.html

As a musician, I have a bunch of projects in the works, but why bore you?

A bit on my life with comics. As a child, my mind was filled with Spider-Man, Fantastic Four, Metal Men, Justice League Of America, Dr Strange, Iron Man, Hot Stuff, Archie & many many more. Names like Stan Lee, Jack Kirby, Steve Ditko, Don Heck, John & Sal Buscema, John & Marie Severin, Wally Wood, Mike Sekowsky, Joe Sinnott, Bill Everett, John (ring-a-ding) Romita, Jim Aparo, George Tuska, Gene Colan, Nick Cardy, & tons more inspired my days & dreams.

Comic strips as well, but we'll stick to the books! I was part of the Merry Marvel Marching Society. I was a Marvel zombie. I faced front like a true believer! I still love those 60s books. They had an energy that has never been recaptured. In my way, I remain a throwback. Whenever allowed, I color in flat color like the old books. I write single issue stories like the old books. I write stories for children whenever I can. It is an important thing to do. Stop writing for adults right now! Write for kids! Hurry up!

Thanks for the add. Not to be too shameless, but I'd like to point you to my current comic Dusk - http://dusk.ambrosiapublishing.com/. I'm honestly looking for good solid feedback on the story. I'm even willing to make trades for reviews and/or exposure. I'd be willing to link swaps or even write a script in trade.

Hi John, ta for the add, great stuff you've got on Deviant. Personally I also love the idea of comics meeting fine/abstract art. I'd certainly like to see more cubism, futurism, impressionism -there's still a hell of a lot that the medium can explore both in terms of art and story-telling. Ok, consider me off my high horse now...
