I've been a an original comic art collector for about a decade now. Currently living in Thailand although I'm originally from just outside London in England. I also currently live in Malta whenever I can get there. I've spent over half my life travelling and working and I've spent longer than a year in Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Germany, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, South Korea and California. Most of my original art collection can be viewed at the link below and I also have a small publishing company with my friend and professional artist/writer/singer Liam Sharp. I'm a tremendous fan of Brian Bolland and Arthur Adams as well as the Frank Miller Wolverine Mini-series and the John Byrne run on X-Men Original Art Gallery http://www.comicartfans.com/GalleryDetail.asp?GCat=3222Mamtor website Click here for Mamtor!Mamtor and the first two volumes of Event Horizon have been described as "Punk Rock on a Page" and "21st Century Pulp Fiction". The first issue won the inaugral Graphic Novel prize with Sci-Fi London magazine and it's something we are tremendously proud of. On a personal note the story I have written entitled "Lollipop" is slated to grace the cover of Issue 3 when it hits the shelves. I've also been scribbling away in bars and all sorts of other places in an attempt to actually complete things. I have two stories currently being drawn by none other than 2000AD legend Nick Percival (JACK) and David Barkmann from France (Doodlebug). Cheers John

Hi Khwan,
This is a bit of luck as I haven't checked Comicspace in a few weeks but today I thought I'd look around :)
I actually live in Pattaya (I work in Laem Chabang port). My number is 0852-197-580. I can fairly easily make it up to Bangkok although the next two weekends are shot :(
This weekend I have a team building event near some mountain or other and next weekend (fellow comicspace member and artist) Neil Googe is coming down to see me.
I'd like to meet up if/when you have the chance.
Cheers

john: we started a comicartfans.com and a comicart-l tag for people who have galleries at CAF and are part of the list. check it out. if you've got any tags left to use, maybe one of those would work for you. it's going slow, but it's gaining some momentum. take it easy, george proline91 |

Hi John good to hear from you. I've also checked out Mamtor Publishing and you'll be receiving an order from me soon. Always interested in original and exciting stuff, and love the spirit of the company.
Besides being a comic writer I'm also co-founder of Wicked Comics, which is a voluntary organization, which promotes comic artists and writers in Malta. I believe you've met Marco which is an artist in our organization, who introduced me to this site.
We are planning a 2 day comic gathering in Malta end of June this year, and would love to see you there. Also would love to discuss the possibility that you can bring some of the artists you work with, and put up a stand with the stuff you publish. If you like to talk further please contact me on chrislegalle@yahoo.com. In the meantime you can check out some of the work done by our artist on www.virusproject.com under comic arts. This section has just been uploaded but will be regularly updated. |

Hi Larry, Most of my collection has indeed been through the UK although I have been resident there for nearly 5 years. I never collected art when the Killing Joke book came out and it was only about 10 years ago I started and a friend put me on to Brian's work as I mainly collected Marvel and to my knowledge there are only 3 Bolland Marvel covers out there. Have you got your collection for view anywhere? Cheers John |
