I'm a British writer and editor of comics and magazines, currently working by day on www.weirdandbeard.com, a new technology, science fiction and weird web site for Steam Industries. My past work has included Managing Editor of comics-to-mobile project ROK Comics www.rokcomics.com, that is still live but 'dead' insofar as it is not, as of April 2009, being promoted or maintained on a daily basis by ROK, who own the service. New WAP services are still being rolled out by ROK featuring comics in India and the Far East and seem to be picking up some traction at last. I have been an editor at Marvel Comics UK and Titan Magazines, where I was Managing Editor for five years, and have worked in publishing for over 20 years, with strips published by Marvel, Egmont, Lucky Bag, CJL (Italy) and others. My work ranges from strips from humour strips for licensed titles such as The Real Ghostbusters and Thundercats to adventure material including The Science Service, drawn by Rian Hughes - which was re-published as part of a collection from Knockabout in 2008 and also includes Grant Morrison's Dare and more. In addition to my British comics news site downthetubes, which also includes a guide to writing comics based on my past experience as a Marvel UK editor, I also have a blog at downthetubescomics.blogspot.com, where I post as much British comics news as I can, both indie and mainstream. Current comic work includes Ex Astris, which has been published in Bulletproof Comics and Spaceship Away and The Really Heavy Greatcoat, which appears in Comics International magazine and on my British comics news web site www.downthetubes.net. I'm also writing an as yet unpublished humour strip satirising the British civil service which is one of those rare jobs where you get paid to write something but it has not yet been seen in the public domain!

Pretty Nasty Arena Team BMX-O-Ball 
Flashback to the 1980s, when future sports featured every week in 2000AD... and they were pretty dumb! Creators SMS and Matt Bingham retaliated with this parody, which first appeared in the UK fanzine Scan which I co-edited with Matt.

John I read the comments you drop on The Unwanted and you are right about the bunch of headshots the problem is that my main concern was not my work and my art on those pages my concern was the Script itself that is so delicious that I thought on giving respect to the writer in fact got to my blog in some hours and you will see some action packed pages from the same project...thanks John I am so happy to hear from friends!!
