I've been reading comics for ages. I've got a collection of over 37,000 comics that is growing at an alarming rate each week.

Each month I report on the estimated sales of the top 300 comics and top 100 graphic novel and collected editions through Diamond over at Comic Book Resources.

I also do short monthly segments on the Around Comics podcast with the breakdown and highlights of the estimated sales of the top 300 comics and top 100 graphic novel and collected editions through Diamond.

My website is www.ComicBookPage.com.

My Comic Book Page podcast has a number of regular features including:
-The Weekly Comics Spotlight in which Bob Bretall and I discuss a comic from DC, a comic from Marvel and a comic from some other publisher.
-The Back Issue Spotlight focusing on a recent back issue purchases and a classic story from the past.
-The Super Fan Spotlight featuring a discussion with someone that is more than a meek and mild fan of comics but is a super fan.
-The Mayo Report: Comics Edition is a monthly discussions about the sales estimates of the top 300 comics.
-The Mayo Report: Trades Edition is a monthly discussions about the sales estimates of the top 100 graphic novels and collected editions with Chris Marshall of the Collected Comics Library podcast.

I've also done a couple of episodes of Ian Levenstein's Comic Timing podcast.

Thanks for the add, John! If you can look past the poop jokes, swearing and public drunkeness, I'm sure you'll love the show...

Thanks for the add, John.
It's good to know of someone who spends more on comics than I do. Also, thanks for mentioning Drawer Boxes on CGS. They've been a boon for my collection.

A big hello John, my number-crunching friend!

Hey, Great to see you here!! Thanks for the add and for keeping us all up to date on the market. :)

Merci for the add. And although the numbers in the MayoReport are related to the US of A it's always a pleasure listening to you - even in Switzerland.
(for a similar report about the comic market in Switzerland all you'd need would be a post-it....)

Keep them reports coming.

Cheers from Cheeseland

John...

You are a gentleman and a scholar, my friend.

Oh, John... how I look forward to hearing you discuss the numbers on my books, someday.. about how it sold such insignificant numbers that it didn't even pull up on your reports... heh. Thanks for adding me, John.

I've seen your art. Any book you do should sell well. And, if it doesn't, I'll be sure to mention that it anyway. You are a very talented artist and I look forward to someday reading comics that you've drawn.

I keep my comics on the ground floor. I figure you can't get much safer than that.

I did have some stacks of short boxes fall when I was moving out of my house in San Diego. They hit the door and the door lost. Fortunately nobody was hurt when that happened and the door was open. If it has been closed the room would have been inaccessible shy of climbing in through the second story window. But that was years ago, long beore I got the Drawer Boxes, and when my collection was a bit smaller.

John, the Mayo Report is one of the highlights of CGS and CCL. I can't imagine what those spreadsheets must look like. Keep up the great work, sir; I applaud you!

Any man with that many DrawerBoxes is a hero amongst fans.
