Everything you ever wanted to know about John Platt -- I'm an award-winning humorist, fantasist, activist, futurist, publicist, cartoonist, horrorist, and photographerist. I've been published on at least four continents (still no luck breaking into that elusive Antarctic market). I just moved from the hectic hustle and bustle of New Jersey to the quiet, peaceful life of a small, coastal town in Maine. I spend a big chunk of my time writing marketing materials for high-tech organizations and non-profits. Oh, and I have cats (of course). I have written for several now-defunct comic-book publishers, and reviewed graphic novels for TV personality Joe Bob Briggs. Hey John! Thanks again for getting Scootles at MoCCA! I would've been at MoCCA last year but...well, you can read the article up right now at newsarama.com about why I wasn't there. This year I will be at the San Diego Comic Con in the summer but you can always get Scootles through my store, or you can wait and get the trade later this year! Yeah, I read that Newsarama article this morning (or tried to; it's a bear to get through). That really sucked. I'm glad your book is back in your control now and I wish it the success it deserves! |
