Well let's see I'm a fan boy ... I never thought so till I thought hey I've sold my comic collection 5 times over then each time would go and buy back most of the real good stuff. I'd take full advantage of the 1/2 price sales at the shop I work at part time as the assistant manager. {myspace.com/wildtimemusic} A real full service comic shop that's been around for over 20 years a huge selection of back issues, new comics every wed ... but enough about the shop you'll go to the site anyway just to check it out, that is if you don't get your comic fix there now. I grew up on comics my mother would buy me a new one every Sunday A.M. when she'd go to the corner drug store for the paperbefore she dragged me off to church. The covers were great in the 70's but they we're always teasers for the fact that the cover was almost never in the comic. I used to always go for the Batman or Spiderman but got hooked on Superboy & The Leigon of Super heros, Worlds Finest, Super Villian Team Up & the Avengers etc, etc, etc...Legion was great because it was a bunch of younger heros not the "Wonder Twins" & Worlds Finest was incredible to see the "Super Friends" on a global not so Saturday morning thing and so on and so on. Then as a teenager I started to become more interested in writers & artists perfect teams like Alan Moore & Bernie Writson on The Swamp Thing Neal Adams on Batman & Green Lantern/Green Arrow. So many greats that made the books come to life for so many of us late greats like Carmine Infintino on The Flash, Jack Kirby on anything he did, Walt "eveyone has a beard" Simonson, Jim Aparo's Batman with Len Wein just wish jim drew him a little darker..oh and lest I forget Frank Millers first Daredevil run...WOW! There was and is so much great talent out there I could go on forever but I'll save something for my comic's blog..but without a doubt my favorite villian is still the joker from the time I watched the Batman TV series with Ceasar Romero right up to the incredible job Mark Hamill did bringing the Joker to life in the Batman Animated Series from the last Jedi Knight to the sickest MOFO in Gotham City...oh and the Joker Fish!

Hey, someone remembers Len Wein. Now that was a golden age in an entirely different sense of the word.
