Hi,

I have been drawing since I can remember. When I was about 6 or 7 my Mom brought home a few comics after a trip to the local Convenient store. I have been hooked ever since! I have been a student of drawing and comics for many years - I pursued "safer" career choices while in college but keep coming back to what I love - drawing! My personal art blog "Can he draw any better yet?" is a great place to see the variety of work I have created throughout my life, much of it related to comics and cartooning. The galleries (coming soon) here will be limited to my best and current comic work.

I am the current coordinator for the Lexington KY Comic Creators Group. We are essentially a member organization - but we have open membership to anyone 16 and over who has an interest in creating comics, illustration, animation, conceptual art, caricature....
We have a variety of skill levels in our group: members who are current working professionals through High School/College students who are looking for a place to start learning. The group is about education, networking, and advancement of cartooning. We have a blog, forum, Yahoo! group and monthly meetings. At our meetings we share local event news, critique each others work and have some hands on creativity, writing and drawing exercises. We have co-hosted Lexington's first Comic Art Show and hosted high quality instructional seminars.

I am a frustrated student - wishing for that elusive "master" who will open my eyes to all those "art secrets". Well this hasn't happened yet - and may never. The old argument about talent versus hard work seems to come up a lot in my mind. Still I tend to push the value of education in my personal art growth and as the CCG Coordinator.
