Hurricane Season #1 by Jon Sukarangsan is now available! This is Jon Sukarangsan's newest full-length comic and the first in a 4-issue series.

Hurricane Season follows the story of Billie, a young woman left lost and confused in the wake of a devastating hurricane which leaves thousands homeless in the city of Houston, Texas. With her busy husband away, she's alone in an unfamiliar and traumatized world, the place of her childhood erased.

"The story is about some up-close and personal conflicts, set against the backdrop of a very large-scale catastrophe" says Jon, who was born and raised in Houston. "It focuses on a small group of people and how they are affected by the chaos around them."

Hurricane Season #1 is 48 pages, color/b&w interior. A special San Diego comic-con edition is available through Jon's website, FortuneCookiePress.com, as well as a 7-page preview:

Jon Sukarangsan is a comic artist and illustrator based in San Francisco. His work can be seen in the 2005 run of the webcomic MONKEYMAN, published on Kevin Smith's MoviePoopShoot.com, as well as in other comics online and in print. His most recent work is a short story contribution to YOU AIN'T NO DANCER VOL. 2, from New Reliable Press.
