Absolutely beautiful work... your perspective is fantastic. And that shot of Doomsday was beyond cool. Wonderful stuff!

Of course I remember meeting you! I moved to Austin, Texas in August, and I will be back in town for the Phoenix Con at the end of January.

Here's to making 2007 our best year yet!

Hey Gary, I see you are with the Actionopolis team. A friend of Shannon's is a friend of mine. Will you be at the Phoenix Con? Best of luck, and hopefully we'll cross paths soon!

no plans on being at the Phoenix Con...I don't do a lot of shows and that one is a bit far away...continued success with your books, it looks as if you're doing well.

Any friend of Shannon's is a friend of mine. Hope I'll get to meet you soon. Will you be at the Phoenix Comicon?

Thanks, man. That Shannon's alright ain't he? Aside from the girlish giggle fits I mean. Sadly I probably won't be in the neighborhood for the Phoenix con. Would love to make it out one of these times.

Thanks man, as long as someone's reading my work - it keeps me going to do more! I'm sure you know exactly what I mean, right?
By the way, your stuff sounds just like my entire family's taste - especially my teenage son. We'll definitely be picking up some of your books. Cheers!

Sorry, PATRICK. That was lame... and I promise I wasn't confusing you with the great thespian, Freddie Prinze, Jr.

Freddie... beautiful work. I love the Centaur charging into the stream of arrows. I'm going to forward your portfolio to my friends at Wiz Kids. Nice work.

Thanks! Er, it's Patrick, not Freddie, but I'm glad you liked the Centaur pic anyway. :) And I always appreciate some networking -- Big thanks for that.

Thanks for the heads up on the old-school techniques. It's good to hear advice from people with success. Best of luck.

You're very welcome. There's a bunch of topics dealing with making and working in comics at the Creator's Rights Forum (http://www.creatorsrights.com/). One of my favorites is "Submitting Samples to Editors". Check that one out.

I'll have to check it out. I'll be on tour in L.A. in February, and spend a lot of time in San Diego, as it's just a short jaunt from Phoenix. What part of Cali is your store? I've not heard of the city.

[ Posted by jslewis to davidarodriguez on Dec 28th, 2006 6:45 PM ]...

Do you have a link for some of your work? I'd love to see it. Good luck.

Good to meet you. Anything likened to HIGH FIDELITY is okay by me.

Very nice portfolio. And anyone with a Hellboy reference in their mug shot is okay by me.

The Planet of the Apes stuff is very cool. Do you remember the Saturday morning cartoon? I also had the lunch box... sadly it was lost, along with my original General Urus.
