Very nice style you've got there. Too bad we can't read any of the complete stories here.I wanna see where the bad-trip goes in Wormworth.

:) Thanks for the message!
Love your work btw, really unusual, but very cool.
Interesting comment you made about manga. It's a shame its public image is all 'big eyes', but my work is just a pale shadow of the artists I'm inspired by :D The best manga I've read tops any comics from anywhere else in the world... it's just very tricky to find the good stuff outside Japan.

I'd be interested in hearing some names - even if it's not available in English.

It's true that one is eager to generalize what one doesn't know that well. I've read some good manga way back, but the manga-boom with the bug-eyed children seems to overshadow the whole bunch. But the different storytelling possibilities of comics are a central interest to me, and I know manga would have lots to offer on that front, too.

:) My fav authors/artists are Jiro Taniguchi, Taiyo Matsumoto and Hiroki Mafuyu (he's the only one with a website that I can find: http://hirokimafuyu.com/page/menu.html).
All of them have works in english. Prtobably the best to look out for are No5 by Taiyo Matsumoto and The Walking Man by Jiro Taniguchi.
There are loads of other great artists and an even larger number of great animators :)

Thanks for the recommendations! Actually one of the interesting manga I read years back was Hotel Harbour View by Taniguchi. Probably the first manga I read, actually! I've noticed the Walking Man getting some praise elsewhere too. Need to see if I can get my hands on it.

Thank you very much. Just you wait till you see more up-to-date work. I've been struggling the past year making comics, and hopefully it shows with some degree of development...
